Adam & Teejay

WordPress wedding website

Wedding website for Adam & Teejay.

When my best friend announced his engagement last year, I was over-the-moon excited, and offered to do anything I could to help out. After asking me to be his ‘bro’smaid of honour’ (he had been my best man too), Teejay asked if I could produce a wedding website like the one I made for myself last year.

Of course, I said ‘of course’, and got to work right away. You can find Adam & Teejay’s wedding website at AdamAndTeejay.co.uk:

Simple Wedding Website

Teejay & Adam both love their wedding website. I worked with the grooms-to-be to create a simple, one-page, theme-based WordPress wedding website, complete with information about the big day, links out to their vendors, a countdown-clock, and a password-protected RSVP section.

Using the specific font, background & colours chosen by the couple for their save-the-dates, invitations, menus and programmes, the website stayed on-theme and cohesive with the rest of their wedding collateral.

In the run-up to the big day, we’ve kept the website updated , adding vendors and details as they are confirmed, to keep guests in-the-loop about the wedding plans, and give them an easy place to look for the information they need (whether they want to check that a food vendor is allergen-friendly, look up the venue address to see which hotels are nearby, or remind themselves of the start time toΒ  book transport to the venue)

We used Google Forms, embedded in a password-protected WordPress page, to create a simple and secure RSVP. On their paper invitations, guests were directed to the webiste to RSVP. This means that RSVPs are easily to track and collate, and emails can easily be sent to guests with further information about the wedding, as it arose.
